How do they seem in your neck of the woods this year? They seem horrible this year in NE Ohio. Had to pull one from my 4 year olds head after he helped me hang a stand last weekend.

I've had 7-8 on me (crawling not embedded yet) through the early summer.

They have calmed down lately, but they were terrible from April till middle of June.

They seem to be getting worse every year, maybe due to the milder winters. And you don't really hear much mention of it!
I spend alot of time outdoors in Ill, WI, and MI and it's gotten to the point where I cannot go hunting, fishing, ATV'ing without being loaded up with permethrin.
You can hardly walk 20 feet without picking up a couple!! [:-]

I hung a stand and added to one of my mineral sites today. I walked away with 3 ticks on me. Luckily they were just crawling on me and notattached.

Ticks are bad, I hate them.
I will not walk through the woods without spraying my clothes, but I don't like to use spray when hunting soI keep a path mowed to where I'm going to set upmy blind to cut down on ticks.

They have been bad here in MO & IL since early in turkey season.

GR8, I hunted9 or 10 days during turkey season in Delaware county and maybe found 3 crawling on me in all that time. . . but in SE Ohio, I would pick at least 3 a day off of myself . . . that'sstill nothing compared to southern MO last year, 10or so a day, including my first locked on tick [&:]

Turkey season sucked! I had ticks stuck to me sometimes two at at time every time I went into the woods. Now that Im just scouting andhanging stands, I spray myself down with backwoods off. I havent really seen a whole lot since summer started and covering my pants legs with off and taking a shower as soon as i get home.

Nothing like having tick bites in places you look strange scratching![:@]

I have hunted this place in Md for 3 or 4 years and have yet to find a tick on me or any of the deer we have killed. Other parts of Md they will fly in the window on a breezy day

Been out 3 times and each time I have had over a dozen of those little blood suckers on me, yuk!
I'd rather bump into Snakes than Tick's

They are somewhat bad here in Southern Oklahoma . I went scouting the other day and forgot tomspray and payed the price man those seed ticks are hard to see ![:@]

This is the first year that i can remember that i have not had a tick on me. i made it through shed and mushroom hunting in the spring and turkey season as well. the only reason that i can think of not having any is when i was hunting turkeys i was in a pasture not in timber so maybe there are no ticks out there.

Back in May I had them all over my boots and pant legs but since then its been real mild.

You guys don't know BAD! Every time I have gone out so far I have picked off at least 100. SOme spots are worse than others and we could have 40-50 in a 100yd walk. We pick them off as we go. But somehow I get home and find another dozen or so in my clothes............and for the next couple of days I find them onb me b/c they escape and get on me in my car. The bear I killed was infested....... I mean to the point of gross!

I've found ticks every time I've been in the Illinois woods this year, but I agree about the chiggers.

same here, every time we go down to Illinois we come back with a least 2 on both of us. Here in Mich. We have to
check over the dogs all the time we have found a few so far.

They have been bad but luckily I have only had the big ones on me. When I start finding the seed ticks is when it starts to get serious.[:@]

Horrible. I had 4 crawling on me. Unfortunatly,I drove back home in my truck without changing, and I found one in my truck the other day. Big mistake.

In the last week I have removed several small ticks, been torn up by chiggers, and just yesterday while under my truck some kind of ant wasp bit the hell out of my back....not fun.

They're not that bad here in Wisconsin. I got one 2 weeks ago though.

They are always lousy in my area especially the seed ticks that are as tiny as a pin tip [:@]

Seem to be all over this year, a little worse than last year. They were especially bad during spring turkey hunting.
