I have been hearing rumors that they did not sell out again so everyone that applied should recieve one and the left overs will go on sale at a later date... Anyone hear this?? Walt

Did your name have to be in the original lottery to go after the first come, first serve permits? Or can you just call in that day and hope to get one?

Call in that day, it is open to everyone that did not win the first draw. As a non resident you can only buy 1 combined deer license. Unlimited antlerless tags also available.

Do the same rules apply for a muzzeloader permit? Illinois laws are much more confusing than a lot of other states!

Correct they did not sell out again.
I spoke with the DNR directlyon Tuesday and they have 7,777 permits left over.
As stated above they go on sale on 8/12.

A friend of mine has about 400 acres in Schuyler (sp?) Co. His land is bought through his business. I don't think I could get a regular lisense and hunt on his corporation property. I'll have to call the DNR.

IL keeps the ceiling high enough they really don't plan on selling out.

Yep just be one of the first callers on 8/12/08 and your there!!! Last year I believe they had about 1800 left over and did sell out but over 7000 left wow that should tell ILL something. Heck why even say there is a cap when you have that many left over.. Walt

Did anyone really think that they would sell out!!?? They haven't since they started the lottery. At $480 why should they? Even if they sold their stated limit, I bet they'd increase the limit and sell as many as they could.[:@]
