"G - SPOT" and it lived up to the name...

I did wack a bruiser, the size of a couch, and with a x-mas tree on his head that year.
My guestimate would have been 220lbs. - 135" buck...:(
Unfortunately I heard a thud and believe it was his shoulder, had blood for 75 yards, then back out until the next day.
Me and 3 others went in and spent 3 hours gridding out the terrain in all directions, over 400 yards
and then circled 400 yards with never finding what would have been my best deer ever.
I also had drawn on a 140+ doe 3 times in this very stand without a good shot, so I let her go.

We have:
1. East Mix-Master (where two heavy trails intersect;
2. Sunset Ridge (western corner along two trails that come together and mostly used in the evening by deer);
3. Lakeside (in an oak grove next to one of the ponds); and
4. Valley Drive (where the deer come out of the santuary at the back of the big pond & in the valley).

I have a magnetic board I use during deer season that has these 4 stands on it. I stick the magnet next to the one I am leaving to hunt at. My wife is less nervous if I do this (in case I get hurt). Needless to say, if one stand isn't producing, I will switch without changing the babysitting magnet, but she doesn't know that.

Got a few:

Dogwood stand- Near dogwood trees:eek:

Old man stand- Stand closest to the cabin (which has produced the 2 biggest bucks in years past)

Double stand- Years ago there used to be 2 tree stands in this location so my dad could take us out when we were young, now there is one but we still call it that.

Undiscovered Territory- Portion of our property that is so hard to get to that no one hunts it (except me)

I find itflattering you think of me on your off time.;):D
I was taking a ****.
Sometimes I wonder if that's not where you mind went.;)
LMAO!![8D]

At least you wouldn't need the Plunger!!:D

Most Bear guides name there stands, but many are in the same spot for years. I very rarely have my stands in the same spot long enough to name it, although I may be in the general area.
