RE: Carbon Express Arrows
3D Selects they are the straightest! They are more money but definitly worth it
especially if you going to shoot fixed blade heads. Puttem in the K-ZONE,AL:D |
RE: Carbon Express Arrows
I' m more than happy with my Carbon Express 3D Selects. They' re alot tougher than I thought they' d be. I still have all 12. Thats after alot of shooting two deer. 7 squirrels, and a grouse. I' ll buy them again.........in about 5 years!!!
Good Luck! |

RE: Carbon Express Arrows
First off the CX shafts are great. Really you need to consult a chart to get the right arrow for your bow setup.
I have currently been playing with the CX shaft and really like them. I have been looking for a new arrow to use & this ranks right up there with the best I have seen. so far I am down to 4 shafts - the CX shafts, Easton ACC, Easton Redline, and the time tested Beman ICS Hunter. They all are very good shafts but I am leaning towards the CX this year. |
RE: Carbon Express Arrows
I would agree that the standard Carbon Express shafts that I have tried are some of the best ICS carbons out there. I also agree with Orion that the actual size that you use will depend on your particular setup. Having said that though I will also say that I think most folks' setups force them into the size 300 range though I do know folks that regularly use the 200s and I have personally used the 400s for nothing more than the extra weight.

RE: Carbon Express Arrows
just to add the cx huneners is mid range arrow with a weight of 10 grains per inch aand a straightness of .003 there is a lowwer grade termanitor which is heavier and .006 straightness. the 3d selects are there best.... you can look them up at gametracker

RE: Carbon Express Arrows
I been using the 3-d selects for a couple years now. I had a problem with the nock end of the arrow spliting. This year I installed 3-60 uni-bushings w/G nocks and they eliminated the problem. Great arrow. I shoot the 200' s for my set-up and think they' re a little on the light side for hunting. I go to a Beaman during hunting season and right back to the 3-d selects for 3-d/target. JERRY

RE: Carbon Express Arrows
i use the cx terminator hunters. 6075 which is roughly 11-12 grns per inch. bought a dozen and only had one that wasnt perfectly straight. they come in approx 6 gn diff per box. mine went from 361-367gn.. 3 being 361 then 9 being 366-367. when i fletched them, now they are all within 1gn and shoot extremely well. have some cx hunters 400 as well. i dont see a difference other then the weight. i just love shooting these arrows with my havotec. really quiet w/out any silencers.

I Recently Purchased a Dozen of the CX 300' s,and out of the Dozen,7 were Straight enough to hunt with. These Shaft' s are SUPPOSE to be within .003,and were Purchased on this Promice.Ive contacted Game Tracker over a Month ago,and told them of the Problem.Their Reply was," we will ship out your Replacement Arrow' s as soon as we Recieve your Mailing Address.Well that has been 8 Week' s ago,and no Arrow' s.Last time i give them any of my Money.Their Worthless!

RE: Carbon Express Arrows
Wildweasel,
I' m not defending Gametracker,But spin test all the other brands and i' m sure you will be suprised! If someone asks which arrows to bye i tell them to get the best that brand has to offer and spin test the dozen, save only the straightest (no wobble) for fixed blade heads and tuning and practice with the rest! With the exception of ACC' s i havn' t seen a perfect dozen yet! Good Luck! Puttem in the K-ZONE,AL:D |
