I wouldn't shoot the Rage head unless I was packing a GOOD, SOLID 60#'s+ in KE.

Find out your KE....and assess from there.

If I were you.....shooting that poundage.....I'd look into a COC head such as the G5 line offers. Peace of mind in that marriage.

Good luck.

I would check out German Kinetics-silver flame, very expensive but great warranty and sharper out of the box then anything else period. There are a lot of good broadheads out there based on my research but I personally would stay away from Mech. ones although there are many on this forum that use them. I know of many guides around here that don't allow them at all. Whatever you choose make sure it is sharp, just becauase it came out of a box does not mean that it is ready to hunt, many hone their edges quite a bit more than the factory.

Stingers, Phatoms, or just regular muzzy's should be fine.

i agree id stay away from expandables and large cut heads. muzzy, slick tricks, G5 montec or striker, magnus stingers or snuffers etc all aughta work well..

i witnessed IMPRESSIVE results from a Montec from my buddy...hit like the last rib and blew it out the brisket...i couldnt believe it because he shoots at like 60lbs and its an older, slower bow so its not smokin them out fast and hard...i was impressed with that little head...
