It's all "part of the deal" DropTine249.......Deer die every day for a whole slew of reasons, most of the time you never see or hear about it. Yes even nice bucks meet an "early death".

Chin up......there will be others, you can count on it.;)

I see more bucks dead along the side of the road this time of year than any other time. out of the last 20 dead deer I have seen this last month, 10 or so were bucks and two looked like that one. really crappy dude.

Here's an oldie but goodie from the archives RE: this subject.

Anyone care to hazard a guess as to the author?:D

Whenever a thread shows up of a dead one someone found it is always filled with comments like "What a shame"......or "Too bad a car hit him and not a hunter"........I never understood that. Why is it a "shame" because he died on the road........but it's not a "shame" when we kill him??.........the deer is dead either way so he ain't any happier with either scenerio. Just seems selfish to think the ending of a life is a "waste" unless we got to end it on our terms.

I would have to say that it probably has to do with the difference of the deer body rotting in a field or woods which is often the case after being hit by a car.

Could also have to do with possible injuries and damage obtained by a driver or passengers.

The deer also could have suffered a great deal before dying after being hit.

Personally, I think there are or possibly could be differences.
