That's a very cool pic, and a rare one I would think. Those critters, pound for pound, are as nasty as they come. I'd move that cam also, if you get his permission of course.:DI don't see too many deer coming too close to that specific area with him there.

I thought the same thing until I saw this photo. This doe doesn't seem to care about the badger hole, she seems curious to know what the heck is going on. This spot is right under an apple tree where I always get some of my best photos. I'll wait another week or so before I make a decision on whether or not to move it.

And Matt - I didn't know there were badgers in IL either. The only wild ones I've ever seen have been in Northern WI. I saw the picture and I was like "Is that an f-in' badger???" :D Then I had to do some Googling to figure out what was going on here.

Last I heard they were protected in IL. If you catch one in a trap, you have to let him go. YEAH RIGHT!!!

So if you do shoot him, you might not wanna post the pic.;)

Pretty cool, but I wouldn't want to walk up on one. I hear they can be like a pint-size tornado is you make them mad.

That badger is thinking its about lunch time. A badger will easilly pull down a yote in no time at all. That poor yote doesnt even know that badger is there.
