Cole asked me if I ever shot a frog with my bow and if he could.
SoI told him I shot1 once in the head and that he probably could with his lighter bow.
I told him I would ask you guys on here.

Never shot frogs, have shot bluetip crabs off the dock in S.Padre. Definetly need a light poundage bow for frogs.

Cole- If you can hit a frog at 20 yards then you will have one heck of a deer hunting career ahead.

P.S. Don't forget your helmet next time you take out the Harley;)

Illegal in Michigan. I used to shoot them with a bb gun in Ohio when I was little. I think its illegal in Ohio now as well. You can't keep indigenous reptiles and amphibians as pets either if I read things correctly.

Cole, yes!! It is loads of fun. Like stated above, just be sure it is legal where you live. Here in KS we can do it as long it is done with our bowfishing set up. Meaning, you have to have the arrow tied to a line that is attaced to the bow and the arrow is tipped with a barbed head. Some states don't make you do this; others don't let you do it at all. If they do, get on out there and have a blast and bring home some tasty legs for your family!!:D:D

Hey Cole,

I used to do it with a bowfishing setup but it got to be too complicated. Instead we would put a frog gig on the end of a 12' bamboo pole and walk around the lake after dark. My brother and I would take turns holding the flashlight while the other one gigged the frogs.
