RE: What gear do you take?
How long do you usually stay in the stand? I usually take a drink and snacks just in case.

RE: What gear do you take?
Bow, few calls, wind checker, skinning knife and a couple different cover scents....Oh yeah, I always keep a finger tab in my bag just in case something happens to my release!!!!
|
RE: What gear do you take?
I am starting to take an extra release in my packwith me in the woods this year. Can't go wrong with redundancy. Especially if you leave your primary release in the truck a half a mile away.
|
RE: What gear do you take?
It varies, depending on the time of year and how long I plan to be on stand. Generally, though.....
Thermacell Binos Grunt tube Flagging tape Knife Water Snacks Cell Phone (let's face it, you just NEVER know. After doing CPR on my best friend while fishing..I never leave home w/out it.) 2 way radio (if hunting w/ others) That's really about it. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but I travel light. |
RE: What gear do you take?
If my stand's in place then I hace a bowhook, there.
So.....Binos, only. Took me a while to realize I don't need the other stuff........really. |

I'm gonna bet there's a direct correlation of how much gear you take to stand and how said decreases with age.
