Do you want to improve before opening day....?

Hey guys, the next league is going to be starting on July 13. I shot in one for the first time the last time Rick James started one back in April and I can't begin to tell you how beneficial it was for me. This is a great way to improve going into fall. Hmthrfan selected to shoot a 5-spot target at 20-30-40 yards. I think it is going to be very challenging, but it should build confidence. The sign up thread is ready so sign up soon, get your targets, and start practicing.

If you're trying to get ready for hunting season (as the OP stated)....why wouldn't you shoot BH's? That's what you're gonna hunt with.

Not interested in target shooting. I was intrigued it had something to do with hunting.

? I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not, but what I meant was that by becoming a better shot you would be more prepared for hunting season, broadheads or no broadheads. Sorry if I'm misinterpretting what you are saying or how you're saying it. Just a little confused as to how becoming more accurate has nothing to do with hunting.

jbowers....

Take me with a grain of salt. I just REALLY got into target shooting (3D) this past season.....and IMO....target shooting and hunting are 2 separate, mutually exclusive endeavors.

If I'm gonna practice targets......the gear, mentality, etc... will be set up for that. If I'm gonna practice for my hunting......I'll use the appropriate gear and mindsetfor that, also.

I hope you guys have fun....and excuse my cynicism towards paper. It wasmisplaced....and I apologize.

Good luck.

No problem, GMMAT. No apology needed, but it is appreciated. I guess I can understand how it might not be for everyone especially if you are using different gear. For myself, I'm using everything that I'll be using during hunting season, except the broadheads. It's good prep for me and I just think it could be good for others. Plus, I had a lot of fun shooting the last one.
