RE: Broadhead ?

Everone has their own opinion but I really like the G5 Striker.. I might shoot a doe with a Rage 2 blade just to see the massive damage but to me I like a fixed blade broadhead.. Cut on contact even better, just can't go wrong... So I say striker, but then again price is an issue so it may not be a good choice.. Oh heck, just buy some good ol' muzzy's and go killin!!!

Fixed: Slick Trick standard.
Mechanical: Rocket Steelheads or Wolverine
I've hunted with those heads and would / will use them again.

I suggest the Grim Reaper Razortips. I have found that these mechanical broadheads fly same as my field tips.

most quality broadheads will shoot fine with a properly tuned bow and the correct fletching. With an untuned bow and the wrong fletching you will need a mechanical head to for the most part to get the same impact point as your field points. There are a few fixed that will do it as well. Slick tricks, sonics, turbo's etc. I think you really need to make sure your bow is tuned, first then figure out what broadhead you really want to shoot. Here is a link to help you get started tuning. http://www.broadheadtests.com/TUNING.html

What 5shot said. It is generally the bow out of tune rather than a broadhead problem. With my allegiance Thunderheads, Muzzy's, Slick Trick's and Rocky Mountain Ironhead's all group together and with my field points.

Before I broadhead tuned the bow they were all hitting about 8 inches left and 4 inches high at 40 yards.
