Sight pin size
Which do you use and why?

RE: Sight pin size
I use a .019" 5 pin Spot-Hogg Hunter Hogg-It. I prefer the smaller aiming dots for longer ranges. I will admit for hunting purposes though, I would opt for a larger .029" if my sight didn't have the Hogg-wrap fibers on 'em. I want the brightest pin I can get when it comes to slippin' shots at whitetails during primetime.

RE: Sight pin size
I actually shoot a 029 for my close pin, and 019 for the other 3.

RE: Sight pin size
On the new bow I am shooting an Apex Atomic 4 pin with .019 pins. There is a light built into the sight so they are plenty bright in low light and the .019 pins aren't overkill in bright light.

RE: Sight pin size
I use .019, My pins are real tight do to the speed of my bow and I want as much clearence inbetween the pins that I can get..thinking of going to .010 for more target picture

RE: Sight pin size
.19 all the way, I feel as though I am making a more precise shot alignment like floating a pin on a target instead of a softball. I have used both in really low light and the .19 with a wrap or extension are almost as bright as my buddies .29.

029 extreme 4pin
More of a security blanket for me. Like to know I can make that shot at the very last minute of shooting light. |
