RE: Who shoots Hoyt Tec series bows?
I bought A Vortec last year. It has been an excellent bow. I found that NAP's Quiktune 1000 fit the best with the TEC riser. It fits excellent because it is specially made for Hoyt Bows. I use a Truglo site but most any should work.

RE: Who shoots Hoyt Tec series bows?
I shoot a 2002 HavocTec. I use a Trophy Ridge Flatliner Extreme sight and a Bodoodle ProLite rest. My bodoodle had to be machined to fit, my pro-shop did it for me.

RE: Who shoots Hoyt Tec series bows?
2002 Havoctec here as well. I have a Toxonics Hybrid 3 for a sight and a Golden Key Futura Golden Premier rest on the bow.
Special mounting adaptor plates are available for both the Golden Premier and various NAP Quicktune rests so that they can be fit...snugly...onto the Hoyt rest riser cutout. |
RE: Who shoots Hoyt Tec series bows?
Hoyt Vortec, HavocTec, and I have a CyberTec on the way. I have always just put my rests on the bow, without the adaptor plates. You don't REALLY need them, but they are nice. I think when I set up my CyberTec, I will use one of the Hoyt plates. The only reason I would like to use one, is because it would allow me to take the rest off, and put it back on without having to re-tune the rest.

RE: Who shoots Hoyt Tec series bows?
I have a 2000 Magnatec. It came with the Hoyt package which included the Microlock sight and a rest very similar to the Quicktune 3000 shown on Hoyt's site. Both the site and the rest are high quality. Not what you would normally expect from the "factory package".

RE: Who shoots Hoyt Tec series bows?
I have a Hoyt Vortec and a new Havoctec, both have ZR200 limbs and the Versa-cam.I also use Golden Key Platinum Premeir rest and a 3D Rover.I did have to modify the rest by cutting the first 2 mounting holes off so they would fit.I also use the sights from Extreme archery, they are the toughest I have used, they also have different size fiber obtic pins to choose from,I think mine are .029",these are very good sights.

RE: Who shoots Hoyt Tec series bows?
Hudge,
Your pro shop should be able to order just the plate for you.....just take a deep breath of air before asking for the price...<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> Ken, I did the same thing with my golden premiers prior to learning about the plate. |
RE: Who shoots Hoyt Tec series bows?
I got a CyberTec on the way. Im getting to Hoyt universal overdraw and using the quiktune rest that came with my old magnatec. Im still not sure what sight or stabilizer I want. Im thinking about Hoyts micro elite sight or either Extreme archery sights.

RE: Who shoots Hoyt Tec series bows?
I have a 2000 magnatec with a quicktune 1000 and a hoyt sight. I also have a no-peep on it also.
|
RE: Who shoots Hoyt Tec series bows?
VorTec with a modified Bodoodle Pro Lite.
|
RE: Who shoots Hoyt Tec series bows?
i shoot a 2001 magnatec and use toxtronics sight.(because of the small pins) and use a golden premere rest. the pro shop made an adapter for the rest in about 30 sec. all the adapter for my bow consisted of was a piece of plastic to fill the grove.

RE: Who shoots Hoyt Tec series bows?
I use A 2001 Ultratec.I have a Trophy Taker fallaway installed. It required some slight modification but that isn't that bad considering that I am a tool maker.I find myself modifying a lot of things with archery equipment. How do you people that are in other trades or buisness do it.I don't know where I would be without being able to fit to my needs from time to time.

RE: Who shoots Hoyt Tec series bows?
I have used all different types of rests on Hoyt TEC risers and I've never once had to modify anything. I can see where you MIGHT have to cut off part of the rest, but that's it.
