Does still pregnant?
Anyone still seeing does that are still pregnant?
Got the game cam pics emailed to me this morning and there is one nanny in there that looks like she is going to pop. I've been seeing fawns for a month now and know they can get bred late, but was curious to know if others are seeing them still pregnant this late as well? Also, I got 800+ pics over the last 2 weeks on this camera. Nothing too terribly interesting though, all basket rack dinks, does, coons, and multiple pics of the same hen with little ones. Plans are to put up 2x more cameras up this weekend along with feeders in other spots to see what else we have to look forward to in October. I'm sure you guys can figure this out, but the nanny in question is the one on the left: ![]() ![]() |

RE: Does still pregnant?
She seems to be bloated around the Rib cage. On the second shot you can see her stomach. She does not look prego to me.

Maybe she's retaining water...[8D];)
Or maybe she just bought herself a new deerskin coat and she forgot to ask ol' Bucky if it makes her look fat...[8D]:D |

RE: Does still pregnant?
I have saw a lot of fawns the last 10 days, but I have no doubt there are still a few pregnant does out there. The biggest % of fawns drop here in the month ofJune.
When I was in Nebraska the second week of June I saw a lot of Mule Deer does, but never saw the first fawn. I did see a few Antelope fawns.;) Dan |
