That my friend is the World Record Mel Johnson Buck shot in I believe 1965 with a P&Y score of 204 4/8. IL
Thats what I was thinking when I saw that HOG! That record has stood for a looooong time. Kinda surprising really.:eek:Maybe one of us will top it this year!!;)
Actually the Wayne Zaft (Edmonton Bow Zone) buck out scored Mel Johnson's buck. It got shot down because they (the scorers) said the G-3/G-4, I think it was, came from a common base. What a shame. An incredible buck non the less!
And thus the reason why P&Y and B&C net scoring systems suck. Its a shame that the Zaft buck went from the 200s to a 179"(?). The systems do most deer no justice.
You're exactly right Dan. Nets are for fishing, not scoring big bucks! Gross score is the way to give a buck the"RESPECT" it deserves!;)JMHO

This is my best bow buck, killed him in 2001. Never had him officially scored, anyone want to guess??

Did you wack him in NH? If so big dang buck for NH correct?

First one is my best to date and I hunted him for two seasons. I took a week off from work so I could hunt from sun up to dark thirty. Finally took him on my last evening of my week off with a 42 yard double lung shot. He never went more than 20 yards and piled up. He scored 162 and change

The second photo was my first buck ever! 6 pointer with a 21” spread.

VA....take my admitted "guesstimate" with a grain of salt......but I'd guess somewhere around 118-122".

Peakrut............Sorry about that [&o] I should have mentioned the 13 pointerwas aMaryland buckand the 6 pointer was taken in south centeral PA.

Here's a few worthy for the wall that my buddy has taken. He'll never do the internet thing so I'll post it up for him. Theyare all bow kills starting from left to right, we have(my) 13pt, 9pt with a 23 1/4" spread, a WV 15pt and then Raymond 12pt. I don't know the score of Raymond's bucks but mine on the far left was 162 (and some) P&Y. That might give you an idea of what his might score.

I really wish I knew how to take a picture with a deer..this is my first one. You can't even see all the tines..LOL.
