I use the same set up for Black Bear as I do for Whotetail Deer. I shoot about 62# and used fixed bladed broadheads. A matching hit on the two animals and it seems to me the Bear goes down faster.
The most important thing in my opinion that you have to do for the Bear hunt is to learn thier internal organ set up. The top of thier boiler room is lower than that of a Deer. Also learn to judge thier size. The smaller the ears appear the larger the Bear. A big Bear will not have a noticable neck and have low ground clearance under thier belly. Good luck on your hunt.
