Scouting Robot

Since The King has shared his invention idea, here's mine:

Scouting Robot: A small, 4-wheeled scouting robot powered by rechargeable batteries.

Features:
Video/cell phone link back to owner's computer to allow remote driving for re-position
Silent electric motor
Embedded GPS
Digital still/motion camera
Remote re-charging station (possibly powered by propane generator or extension cord)
A small dump trailer or bed for bait
Noisemaker for calling
Scent dispenser

Cost would not be much greater than a good-sized stack of scouting camera's and the robot would offer unlimited flexibility. Imagine the possibilities!

Here's a two wheeled version that can be thrown into hostile areas. Droptine probably has a few in his kitchen.

Thats a pretty sweet idea... I think it would be pretty hard to get it through the woods and creeks... But not a bad idea at all...

I believe it ispractical enough. With guys spending $1000+ on multiple game camera's, this is not that far fetched. Theft could be prevented in the same way newer cars are protected with alarms/alerts.

You would have to be careful about what kind of terrain you drove into. Worst case scenario would be the owner having to go and 'free' the robot from entanglement. This wouldn't be any worse than a trip to check a game camera.

I don't even own a game cam, but I bet there are folks who would buy/use a robot if available.
