Practice makes perfect
This is my last day off for a while now (Starting another job tomorrow which is a part time air marshaller) So I thought - Why not practice for deer season in October for going to MS. I have a deer target but i only seem to managed lung shots.
I think my shots are ok same with grouping but what do you guys think? All shots were taken at 25 yards, as long as my garden will go lol ![]() ![]() At least the robin was watching ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Good shooting. Try to get yourself some paper targets showing atleast the chest outline of a deer and maybe where the vitals are. Shooting at a bullseye target is good but shooting at something that looks like the intended animal you are hunting will get you more comfortable when the real thing steps in front of you.

Realtree APG is a good choice. I like what they have done with that pattern. if I wasn't as happy as I am with my Enigma Camo I would probably own some of it. I was a realtree user before. No problem with the advice. Glad I can help. If I can save someone some of the trouble I have had in the past im all for it. Good luck to you. |

I want to be more than 100% preped for my hunting trip to Mississippi. My significant other has such confidence and faith in me. Bless him. I have a realtree AP cap. No use for Scotland, most people here use APG but for Northern MS in October i would have guessed AP or treestand. |
RE: Practice makes perfect
AP or APG are good choices. But take a good hard look at some of the other open Patterns, such as Enigma, Predator, and ASAT. But if availability is an issue you can purchase Realtree just about anywhere. I personally stay away from anything by Mossy Oak. I believe their patterns are to filled in and too dark. Im not saying their patterns don't work but i just am a believer in a more open pattern and Realtree has taken a good step in going that direction with their pattern. Like I stated before I am an Enigma Camo Fan, but the problem there is you can only get the clothing by directly ordering from them. But trust me the clothes are some of the finest made I have ever seen. Top notch stuff. IMHO good quality hunting clothing is well worth every cent you pay for them.
