I'm Bumbed :(
In 2002 when I started dating my wife I developed a great relationship with her dad. He had 4 girls...and he liked hunting...so when I came along he found the son he never had....Over the last 6 years we killed bears, deer, and all sorts of animals together...we learn alot from each other...
He retired last year and is now spending half the year in Florida...
This year he said he would only be bowhunting opening week and then he would be leaving...and not returning to spend gun season with me...I know he is in a new stage in his life...but I'm bumbed....I love hunting with him....My dad hunts...but only to be with me because he's a loving dad...Has this happened to any of you guys/girls? I will miss having my Father-in-law with me this fall...
Here is Terry and his bow kill last year...

Yeah, I know the feeling. Had a good hunting friend of mine move last yr. to Idaho. It was different not going out hunting with him. We still keep in touch, & R trying to set up a hunt out west, but I know where you're coming from.
