QAD Ultra Rest

Just got it put on and it is AWSOME!!! Im already shooting better groups. Swiched from and WB and I like the QAD better.

What do you guys do to quiet it down when it hits the bow???

I put a piece of soft felt where it falls on the riser. It didnt need it though.

See, and I was gonna let it slide :). .lol. . .FL, I agree. I have the ultra on both of my bows and I love it! But noise?? I have no noise issues on either bow

I too just recently switched from my ole reliable WHISKER BISCUIT to the QAD Ultra "Hunter" rest, it was a major improvement in my arrow grouping as well as speed and quietness. Great rest! I bought the lower-end rest (Hunter) for $50.00 at Gander Mountain, the ONLY difference in the $50.00 rest and the other QAD Ultra $100+ rest is camo and a harmonic silencer.

I've setup the QAD rest on all of my bows. I've never had a problem with any noise. I've set them all up where the rest doesn't make contact with the bow. Never had any problems.

When needed I have a aelf adhesive foam that works great on the shelf to quiet a dropaway. It's about 1/8" thick.

The launcher also locks down to prevent it from bouncing back and contacting the arrow.

I tried the QAD Ultra and ended up selling it . I couldn't eliminate the problem of vane clearance . Bought a DMI rest and put it on my Parker and put a Trophy Ridge drop Zone on my Pearson .

I was thinking QDMA and I misspelled it! OOPS!!![&:] Well at least you knew what I ment. I had the guy at GM to put it on (I dont trust my self with that kind of stuff) and he put it on to where the rest hits the shelf.

My local Archery Pro set up my QAD Ultra Hunter rest for me, he didn't use the clamps for the tether that was included with the rest, instead he served and tied the tether to the bus cord. It works great and less chance of hitting the other cable and string.

I don't know, but I'm hearing words like "hitting", and "noise". I'll keep shooting my Biscuit thanks.:D

Early In, I too was a fan of the WHISKER BISCUIT but after trying the QAD rest I can assure you it's alot better, faster and more quiet than the Biscuit. I think most of these people (not many)who are having problems with the QAD probably don't have it set up correctly, that's why I let my local Archery Pro set mine up, since he's put many of them on other peoples bows. I have no problem with arrow clearance and/or noise. You oughta give it a try, you might like it...........I do. Take care, Ridge.

RF, I believe in what you're saying, but it's hard to teach this old dog new tricks.:D:DWhen I find something that works well for me, I tend to keep using it.;)

For you guys having clearance problems with the QAD, the further down the cable you attach the cord the faster it will snap down out of the way of your fletching. I usually serve the cord onto the downward cable.

The best way to attatch the ripcord to the string is to SPLIT THE STRING and insert the cord in between, burn the end of the rip cord, and it will NEVER pull through. After that, serve above the cord and you're good.

Thats how I do mine and its the BEST way.
That's exactly what I meant and that's what my Pro Shop guy did. Thanks for explaining it better. It works great and it's a great rest.
