If you don't want to spend the $ on the rheostat still get the .019" fiber in the DS-5019. You will appreciate the smaller pin on longer shots.
Agreed. I would love the 019, I think 030 is just too freakin big. Does the 5000 come in 019?

I have used the OL 5000 for three years with very good sucess. The pen does give a bit of a halo in bright sun light, but under normal hunting conditions..early morning and late evening it is a blessing.

That's what I like about the Rheostat housing. You can eliminate the halo effect.
