Default a little help here...

if I am in fact experiencing some fletching contact with the QAD Pro Hunter rest, no lock tech on this one, what are my options other than buying an LD Qad?? anything that will stop bounce back. I really can't buy the 100$ right now. How can I tell for sure that it's hitting???

You can tell if it is making contact by putting a little lipstick on the vanes before you shoot. The lipstick will stay on the vanes and will only show red on what they make contact with. If they are making contact you could switch to using feathers as they are more flexible and forgiving concerning arrrow tuning.

What bow are you shooting? When I had my 06 Bowtech Tribute I had a QAD rest on it and the vanes always hit the inside prong on the fork when I shot. It was bad enough I had a bright green strip on the rest from the Blazer Vane. Since then, just from talking with other guys at the shop I go to there quite a few others have had the same problem- always the inside prong. We figured it was because the cam lean was so bad.Of course, its likely that youare not shooting this bow so this prob won't help you at all, but just thought I would let you know.

I have never tried this, but it sounds like a very solid tip. Good thinking. Will remember this. Thanks.
