It's really no big deal........ I was just a little disheartened that another bowhunter would make such a comment without even givingme (who just posted an open invitation) the benefit of the doubt.

Like I said before- no big deal...... small potatoes

Now who wants to arrow a deer with a rack like this? This rack came from a buck taken last year off the same property we'll be hunting........

Steve,
Are you serious? You can't see the picture of the rack on the table?
I'm looking at it right now? Why would I be able to see it but not you?
Let me know- I'll repost if I need to.

Graydawg,
First off, let me say thank you for your service to this country. My buddies and I were in the Niobrara river valley turkey hunting this last spring. We stayed in the little motel in Niobrara and hunted on the Indian reservation. It is without a doubt some of the most beautiful country up there. We are going back in October. We saw hundreds of deer and turkeys in the three days we were there. If you are going to be hunting the reservation send me a pm and I will let you know about some spots that we saw alot of deer.

Mark,
Thanks for the reassurring assessment of the Niobrara River Valley. You're confirming everything my freinds and I are expecting when we arrive in November. We aren't hunting the reservation, rather ~2500 private acres that hold monster bucks. Abutting this property to the west, is a wildlife refuge that is legally unhuntable. It holds monster deer that venture onto the property we're hunting as it has better eats (loads of alfalfa). These travel routes have multiple bow sets already in place and our outfitter only takes 4 bowhunters a week. We will be there the second week he is outfitting this property (Nov. 3rd-7th).

Here is a shot of the property from google earth. The Niobrara River is at the bottom of the photo. The refuge is just off the photo on the righthand side. The agricultural fields are at an elevation of ~2100 feet. The Niobrara is at an elevation of ~1850 feet. The wooded drainages in between the two hold a lot of deer and act as central travel routes to the fields.

So- one last time, anyone want in on the last spot available at this acreage for the duration of the bow season? The remaining weeks are all booked up.

Let me know,

Rob

NE is a great place to hunt. Very affordable Tags and available OTC.

I've been hunting Mule Deer in the western part of the state for a couple of years and hope to get out to do the same this coming hunting season.

Biggest expense for me is the Gas to make the trips[:@]

That is a nice deer!! I also want to say thank you for serving our country. Don't worry about Drop Tine. I think he likes to make jokes before he thinks about it!
