Not only will I be jumping over an opportunity from a deer stand....I actually fall hunt turkeys.
Anyone who hasn't done this needs to try it. You think you are good at hunting turks, try em in the fall. TOTALLY different ball game. In some ways it is easier but in some ways it is near impossible. Ill be heading out numerous times with turkey as the main goal, and deer as an opportunity arises scenario. Ill be hunting alot from the DB this fall, whether that be meat hunting for a dew does, turkey hunting, coon callin, fox callin, I'll give it all a try from the DB. |

I might when i go to ohio in oct. it depends though on how much time i have to hunt deer though, or if i get one before we leave.

when i buy 2 farm deer tags in missouri, i get 2 turkey tags along with it

ORIGINAL: salukipv1 I'll pick up an archery fall turkey license.....see them all the time when in the stand hunting deer, plus it's only $5. Cousin use to hunt fall turkey shotgun, though he always said you had to ambush them, calling was of little use... Didn't get one this spring either, so ya I'm ready to take one. thats the exact opposite of my familys experiences in the fall when gun hunting:eek: |

My KY sportsman's tag includes fall turkeys (both sexes) so if one walks infront of me during bow season I will definately take notice. Its a good opportunity to take a couple hens off the property to make the spring more productive.

I plan on getting a tag for this fall. Missed one last year and another one caught me drawing on him.

Same here Blood, 2 opportunities and no tag last year. . . got skunked this spring so I owe themone anyway ;)
