If I am.....

shooting one pin out to 25 yds flat, and then back up to 30 yds how much should my arrow drop, it seems to drop about 3-4in. Im shooting around 290 fps, is this right???

It shouldn't drop that much at 290. My Drenalin is shooting about 270 and I only get about 2 inches of drop between 25 & 30 yards.

Sounds pretty close, maybe a little steep.....But, what arrow and fletching are you using, and how much does said arrow weigh?

Sounds like a big drop for any arrow shooting 290fps. Are you sure about your speed? I am shooting in the high 280's right now and only have about 1 1/2" - 2" drop between 25 and 30 yards.

I agree, that sounds like too much drop. My Vectrix at 250fps (chrono)might drop 2", maybe 3" at the most, at30yrds.

Vabowmen, my bow is shooting 292-295 and I was shooting at Gander day before yesterday and it was shooting about 2 inches from 20-30yds....

My 250 fps bow might drop 2-3" between 25 and 30. I'm not sure how heavy my arrows are though. How heavy are your arrows/heads?

This calculator says 3.1" - and from my experience, it's just about dead-on all the time.

* these numbers allow for no fudge-factor. That means, no splitting-the-difference holding the pin a little hot on the dot for the longer ranges.

Anyone who says their arrows are only dropping 1-2 inches between 20 and 30 is either shooting the fastest bow ever made, or they're cheating with the pin placement.
