Default Speed , KE, or Momentum?

Early In (Jeff) and I were talking an hour or so ago about our arrow set ups being similar and why we like our set ups. Which one fits your fancy? Go ahead and explain why if you want. I added Momentum to the poll.

I like to find a balance. For me, I shoot a fairly light setup because I only shoot #63 or less. My setup for this year will be 330gr at 63# shooting about 300-305fps. I haven't calculated it, but I think that's around 60-63ft/lbs of KE. Not to mention the deer here are a little smaller size wise. Last year I shot a 360gr arrow at 280fps and it blew right through everything I shot.

I want as much pack to the punch as I can. I wanna knock them on there you know what!![8D]

I should add that KE isn't as important as momentum is for my set up. I should of choosen momentum instead of KE. My bad!

I had previously voted KE.

I would rather have a bow that shootsin the 275 range an has plenty KE. My arrow's total weight is 407 gr.

i like the speed, You have More than enough KE for deer with you standard set-up, and i like the flatter trajectory and smaller yardage error window, with the area i hunt.

We hunt similar areas and I agree with you.

My goal with my new set up whenever it gets here[:@] is to be shootin 305-310fps with 87-91#KE. I am trying to get decent speed along with some decent KE with a 425-435gr. arrow. If MECHDOCS hypothesis is correct I should be able to reach the desired specs.

Here are some specs Mechdoc sent, the first two sheets have a 429 gr. setup shooting 307 fps with 89.96# KE and the second two sheets with a 404gr setup shooting 312fps with 87.58# KE. This is with 28" arrows but i might be shooting 27" when I get it set up so we will see. I'm shooting aa 28" draw length and should have it dialed in by Friday if the dang thing gets here.
