If your not sure what the bow is set at. One thing you can do is to turn the bolt on the top or bottom limb in to the riser and count exactly how many turns it took and then back it out exactly how many turns you put in and make sure your rachet or allen wrench is at the exact same location it was when you started.

If it only goes in like 1 turn or less, its definatley not at 30. If it goes in 3 turns, you can count on it being 30 or there abouts. I think with that bow, you can bottom out the riser bolt (to max wieght)and then safely back out 2.5 complete 360degree turns. Check your manual.

Beleive me, just starting out, it won't take long before you want to crank it to 40lbs. Starting out is tough.

Take your time, and don't over do it. Only try to pull it back 3 or4 times a day for a couple weeks. Then do a littlt more at a time. You can handle it. it just takes time to get the correct muscles tuned.

And I thought my range was a tad bit dangerous!

If you're referring to mine, there's only one other person in my home.EVERY time I go out to shoot, he's told that's what I'll be doing, so he knows not to come outside. As far as the tight quarters go, I'm accurate to the point where that's not a problem at all, and that comes from practice!
