I shot the Dxt this week also.. Man it was really smooth and I was surpised for it's size how well it shot. I still can't talk myself into buying one though. Under 30" axle to axle and with it only a 7" brace.. Only numbers, it was nice.. So was the General though, I prefer the skinney grip..
I like mathews center line on the grip but they are too bulky, I use torqueless grips on my mathews...

where as the bulky matthews tended to fill my palm better.
That's actually not a good thing... the more grip there is touching your hand, the easier it is to impart torque. It's the reason that 99.99999% of tournament archers shoot a thinner grip, or even off the riser (read no grip at all). Mathews knows this too actually, as their target bows are sans the blocky, bulbous mass of wood they attach to their hunting bows.

You may have got used to it, but most of the better archers I know remove it and go for a Tronjo or similar grip. When I shot Mathews, I would order my bows and my aftermarket grips on the same day. And back then, a good set of strings to replace the junk factory ones before I ever put an arrow through them... though I've heard they've come a ways in that department.

I can't find that huntingfriend website? What's the url? I'd like to see how my new DXT fares. I love that bow. I shot it against several bowtechs and a couple other bows and i knew from the first shot i would end up going w/ the dxt. anyway, i thought the grip on the dxt was kind of skinny. my old bow's grip must be HUUUGE.

the website is www.huntersfriend.com, i have been told that their prices are hard to beat and they do an excellent job at setting things up.

As a note to everyone I think I might be getting that bow tomorrow, they actually only have one left that is a 2007 model and 100 dollars off. Thank you all very much for calming my jitters and helping me have more confidence in my purchase. Im getting giddy, think I might dissappear for a little while at work

ORIGINAL: cptleo1

Buy the Allie

It has got to be one of the top 5 bows ever made.

The skinny grip takes about a week to get used to.

It really is a better way to go than the big ones.

IMHO
Good solid Advice!! The Bowtech grips are some of the best out there!!
