I put in 3 acres of food plots, refreshed the mineral licks, and hung some stands already. I am ready to go.
Dan - in all sincerity - you puta LOT of work into your hunting land. And I hope it pays off for you this fall. I've got a great feeling.

As for me - nothing much since everything greened-up. Spend a lot of time shed hunting and scouting. I'm 100% confident in at least 3 of my new stand sites.

I'll probably laylow for the next couple months, trying to bank some dough for fall.

I started in Feb., I put up stands where I was seeing good action last year and put up camera's on the protein feeders. Once the deer are in velevet good I will start moving camera's to trails about Sept... I don't guess I ever did stop....:D
LOL, I know how you feel. It was like turkey season was a break from getting things ready for bow season. I wish I could leave my stands up all year. I'd love to have them hung and ready now so I didn't have to disturb my areas too much later, but I know if I did that I'd come back to at least a few empty trees. So, I gotta wait until later in the summer.
It is nice being able to leave stuff up all year, but there is something to be said for that element of suprise too!!!! I do both but I was seeing some good deer last year at the end of season, I let the areas rest and went to scouting and setting up stands....Good Luck this year!!!!
