Time for a wrist sling.

I've never used a sling before. Never thought I needed one. Well I changed my mind on Saturday. I was out in the yard shooting when my loop broke at about 1/2 draw. The Marquis flew a few feet and landed softly,( thank God), in the grass. I knew my loop was starting to look frayed. This was entirely my fault for putting off proper maintenance of my bow. I should have tied on a new loop as soon as I noticed it was frayed. I learned a lesson there. I'm just glad it didn't come at a higher price. I launched my Axis 340 into the woods behind the house not to be found. I will buy and install a wrist sling on my bow this week, " just in case". On the off chance that something like this ever happens again I'll have a bit of insurance. I will also stop procastinating when it comes to taking care of my equipment.

I took mine off as soon as I bought my Vectrix. I think it's an added distraction, as well as an added movementhaving to slip your hand through it when you see a deer. JMHO;)To each his/her own.

How much have you been shooting to have worn out your string loop? I wish that I could get out and shoot that much.[&o]
