love for bowhunting with? Who are you passing on our hunting traditions & heritage to?
I have 2 daughters that I'm passing my love of hunting on to. My Dad, former game warden, Uncle, and Grandpa had passed it to me. |

For now I plan on teaching my Godson. His father is the mayor of our town and a non-hunting Democrat, so luckily he has a Godfather that can teach him the finer things in life;)

I started bowhunting while my wife and I were dating,at the same time her dad was getting back into bowhunting and he has been my bowhunting partner ever since andnow my oldest of seven isshooting a bow with me. She took her first deer last year with a rifle, a couple more years and I hope she will get one with her bow....

RE: Who are you sharing your
My dad and mom got me involved in bow hunting, heck it was a way of life when I was growing up and I'm so thankful for that! I hope to pass on the tradition and bow hunting heritage and keep it real the way it should be to my little girl and to anyone else who would like to learn.

The older three shoot bows and love it. The twins got a few years untill they can.
![]() Also I teach 4H Archery so there is 40-50 kids in the last few years I've worked with. As far as hunting just my kids and a boy from our church. Took him out this year and he had a close call (buck fever got him) My daughter had a close call too. No buck fever for her just couldn't get the safety off the ML... I love passing it on. |

RE: Who are you sharing your
My Daughter has been hunting for the past 3 seasons (she's 12 now) and just a few weeks ago, both my boys (7 & 8) passed their hunters safety course so they will be joining us soon in the deer and turkey woods. It's pretty much the only life they've ever known. In fact, they really can't imagine why anyone would NOT hunt??? :D

RE: Who are you sharing your
It runs very very strong in my oldest sons veins, im still working SLOWLY on my youngest son. My Daughter had fun in the woods with Dad until she got older and got into sports very heavy.

RE: Who are you sharing your
Passing it on to my son, and who knows someday maybe my little girl will take an interest too. She'll be 12 next year, and old enough to hunt here in NY. She can shoot a bb gun pretty good, maybe I'll get her shooting a .22 this summer and that will spark an interest. She's definately got more patience than her older brother does.
