Moultrie M40

This will probably get moved but thought i would give it a shot, Im considering the Moultrie M40 camera.

Any body have this camera? Pro's Con's? does it catch moving game? ETC. just looking for a review...

The reviews on the Bass Pro website were good, but quite a few had a problem with the Flash not going off all the time.

I have the I40, The infared equivelant.

EXCELLENT daytime pics. The 4 whole megapixels really shows. Can't say for the nighttime pics though since I have the infared.

Really easy to set up. Date, time, capture mode, etc. I also like the video RCA cord, if you have the camera on hand, you can see the pics on your tv.

Awesome battery life. (I haven't changed my batteries since I got mine 2 months ago and they are still basically full of charge)

Pretty sensitive trigger. Small things will trip the camera, which is a good thing, I think.

Overall an excellent camera, andthe M40 and I40 arejust the best bang for the buck as far as trail cameras go right now IMO.

EDIT: I forgot to mention my favorite part. The Info Strip on the bottom off all the pics can be really healpful. the Temp, Moonpahse, Date, and Time can help you pattern the animals pretty easily....plus you can put your name on it;)

Hope that helps;)

I have the gamewatcher40 model with the 4 megapixel. I got it at Walmart for 100.00.last summer and worked good for last season and really easy to use. This season it didn't work so I called moultrie. Unfortunaltely i didn't keep the reciept but the service rep said if i could find a copy of my statement to send that in and that might be good enough so I did. That was a few days ago so i will tell you if the customer service is any good in a couple of weeks.

I am very impressed with moultrie. They sent me a new camera and it arrived about a week after I sent mine back. I had no reciept for my original one all I had was a copy of a bank statement that had a purchase for 104 dollars on it highlighted.I will be buying another moultrie in the future.

I have the one that they call the D40 and it has been doing great giving good pic since last year (95 bucks at walmart). I too just put a I40 up a few weeks ago and have not been back to check it yet, however i am glad to hear you guys saying good things about it. I also have a couple wildviews that take really good day pics but the night time pic's suck...It gets like 15 foot on the flash, Moultree has them beat there for sure (same price camera), needless to say I will be buying the moultree over those from now on....
