Where you buy; Part II

Ok, this has been an incredibly interesting series of questions for me. One more, for now. I think I have a couple others for maybe next week.

Ok, let's say your pro shop has a website, complete w/ a shopping cart. Would you MOST OFTEN buy from the website, or physically drive to the shop and get it?

Depends what it is I guess. If its something I've bought before from the Archery shop I would then order it online knowing its exactly what I want. If it was something I wasn't sure about and wanted to see for myself I would go to the shop and get a hands on look at it myself. I voted 50/50.

Start an E-Bay store, you'll get allot more business than with a website. Allot of small pro shops would have goneunder if they hadn't done this. Some did go under because they didn't.

Voted 50/50 but closer to 25/75 in reality. Most of the time I figure out something I need or want while Im either on these forums or looking through a mag at work. That means its easier for me to jump on the computer and grab it.

I don't like to buy unless I can touch it and play with it first.

I seem to do most of my buying from websites, the "pro shops" in my area never seem to carry anything but the most popular items.

interesting question...I think I would still go to the shop and get it becasuse it is not that far (45 minutes) and I'm there enough anyway, or just could have an excuse to go.

Most of my online buying is done for items that I've already seenand/or used in the past. I rarely buy stuff sight unseen just to "try it out" unless I've done a pretty extensive amount of research on it first.

Most of my pro-shop purchases are done for stuff I want right away and don't feel like waiting to have them shipped to me. Example: I want to shoot tonight and I need some field tips and while I'm there I decide to pick up a new release or some more arrows.

With that said, I don't think I would buy from my pro-shop if they had an online store since they're close enough I can just drive there and get it right away. Why wait and pay the shipping costs when they're just down the road?

All else being equal, I'd go to the shop b/c I'm not very patient when I decide I need a new toy

If it cost me the same whether I drove there or bought it from the website, gas prices versus shipping, then I would buy from the website.

If the shop I was buying from is close(in town), I'll just drive to it.
The only time I'll buy off a web site is if I can't get it any other way.
I will admit ,I don't buy much at the local shops bc I can get my equipment from myself.

I voted 50/50. I like the convenience of awebsite but I also like to go to the shop and look around.

I would go to the store. The only way I am ordering something is if there is no possible way I can get it at a retail outlet. I like to hold something in my hand before I pay for it. And I like paying cash as well.

Assuming that the decision was made to buy from one or the other, it would depend on if I had any other reason to go in the area of the shop. Unless it would be cheaper in gas to make a specific trip than the shipping costs would be.

Depends on the fuel consumption an if I have to pay sales tax on line.

I voted 50/50 because I would go to the store to order something I have never bought before but if I were to reorder I would most likely buy online.
