RE: Where do you buy and why?
Bass Pro, they are only 10-15 minutes from my house, or I will order online sometimes. Good archery shops are not really close to me, Anahiem about a hour away, or the High Desert (Hesperia) more than a hour away....

RE: Where do you buy and why?
I get my bow and arrows from a pro shop. But the rest of my stuff usually from Cabelas, they are 15 minutes from home. The pro shop is about 45 minutes. Convience is the main reason.

RE: Where do you buy and why?
Pro shop mostly. But I will buy arrows and other small things from the Internet.

RE: Where do you buy and why?
I buy most all my hunting gear from a local pro-shop or outdoor store, because I like thr personal service I receive and if I have a problem they are always willing to help.I will order some accessories online such as sts,but thats because I liked the meanv better than the one at the local shop.I never buy anything but clothes and supplies from the mega stores.

RE: Where do you buy and why?
ORIGINAL: MeanV2 ORIGINAL: mobow Man I'm surprised at the reasoning for internet shopping...I see alot of "because it's cheaper." BUT.... Is it, REALLY?? After you throw in shipping charges?? Dan |
RE: Where do you buy and why?
Pro shop is my majority, for example my Bow, arrows, case, sight, release, holder, the BLOCK i bought from Pro shop.
other things i bought at cabelas or richardssportinggoods.com becuase #1 i had cabelas points or #2 i had gift cards.. which i get for those two exact stores all year around especially holidays. i got my quiver and broadheads with my gift cards.. arrows i always buy from my pro shop guy.. really cool guy.. and i dont mind spending a few extra bucks, i own my own business too.. I dont like to get ripped off, and know how to shop, but i also understand the little guy needs to survive too. and also to mention my bow shop guy, that i got my bow from warrentys beyond manufactor as long as i own the equipment.. i got my bow $100 more expensive then they had it at cabelas.. but.. he set me up compleltey... tunes me up, helped me get started and if there ever is a problem, he fixes it.. no charge.. thats his selling point.. buy it from me, and your covered |
RE: Where do you buy and why?
you know..here is a story.. im Really into my rifles.. and shotguns.. and just starting out with the Archery and im OBSESSED thus far..
but as far as stores.. when i first started out, a few years ago with the hunting i went to local Gun shop #1 and asked some questions.. about calibers, and this and that blah blah and were VERY helpfull, then i went to the next local Gun shop.. asked the same questions and asked to look at there guns.. well they didnt give me the time of day.. i was basically wasting there time.. liek.. hey kid.. whatcha want.. and on top of that i waited like a Dild* for him to finish his converstation with his buddy just so you could show me a gun.. me.. a customer.. anyways i was SOOO turned off.. just so happens i never walked in there again, and have bought 7 guns in 5 years all through the Gun SHop #1 guy that respected me and gave me the time to teach me about the guns and stuff. bottom line.. respect all potential customers.. dont whatever a guy, or kid.. a few years down the road he could be spending thousands there.. |
RE: Where do you buy and why?

RE: Where do you buy and why?
I have a Cabela's 20 minutes away and a Gander Mountain 25 minutes away. I also have a pro shop that is 20 minutes away that I am not fond of which is sad because they have a ton of stuff. Maybe if I walked in wearing a "Rackmaster" shirt or covered in head to toe camo I'd be more valued???? We do have a new shop opening near where the Coon Creek event will take place in a week or two that I want to check out but for now I am probably going to work with a pro shop that is 4 1/2 hours away for everything I don't get from Cabela's or Gander.
