the lyrics are not bad, but the actual rythm and beat is gay. sorry, it is.
I think I remember reading in one of your posts that your a history teacher, no? Surely a man who teaches the younger generation doesn't refer to songs as "gay" when the term and definition of gay isn't even applicable in your description of the song. Referring to a song as "gay" is something I would expect from a 10 year old.

Atleast provide some rational or thought provoking reason why you do not like the song rather than just saying it is gay.

Twildasin, you are the one with an ear ring in each ear
Rockinchair, lighten up bro, it was just a joke and Im a teacher, yes, not a saint. Do you feel like you can cast stones my friend? Cast away bro, must be good living without fault. So now you can tell me how to be a teacher?Have you ever stood in front of 30 teenagers and tried to keep their attention foran 1.5 hr? 3 times a day?Can you deal with 110 different personalities daily and keep your sanity? Can youhandle the stresses that each child may bring from their homelife into the classroom? Im very profressional sir, I would never use any term in my classroom that was not appropriate, but Im not in my classroom and you have no reason to call me out on something so silly.Walk a mile in my shoes once before you pass judgement on me, you have know idea what kind of man I am and how much respect I have gained asa teacher in this community. Now, Dude, I said the lyrics were ok, but the beat sucked, it has no soul to it. Sorry, I did not mean to offend you by using the term GAY. Many people use it to describe something that is cheesy or .......whatever.

I honestly think the whole song is bit gay, music and lyrics to be honest. I don't know why you would expect that phrase from a 10 year old when I am 40 and use it, that phrase has been around for quite a while. Maybe it depends on where your from.

I can't believe that is an issue with some of the stuff I have read on this site.

seems to me that you're getting offended because he was holding you in a higher moral standard becase you are a teacher. I guess some people expect that teachers are sound moral people both in and out of school and don't act morally different depending on the group with whom they are dealing.

Cast away bro, must be good living without fault.
is this an insult to him because he held you in such high respect or youself because you're clearly saying you are two different people depending on with whom you're speaking.

So now you can tell me how to be a teacher?
I don't get that impression at all
Have you ever stood in front of 30 teenagers and tried to keep their attention foran 1.5 hr? 3 times a day?Can you deal with 110 different personalities daily and keep your sanity? Can youhandle the stresses that each child may bring from their homelife into the classroom?
completely irrelevant
Im very profressional sir, I would never use any term in my classroom that was not appropriate, but Im not in my classroom and you have no reason to call me out on something so silly.
I guess RockinChair is at fault here. Rockin, don't expect so much out of America's teachers!
Walk a mile in my shoes once before you pass judgement on me, you have know idea what kind of man I am and how much respect I have gained asa teacher in this community.
he who must brag on himselffff.....

Speaking for myself, I guess I just try to use vernacular that is not offensive to a certain group of people or a particular person. One who is incapable of finding another synonym for "cheesy" or "stupid" and must use the term "gay", IMO, needs to start reading more booooooks

Hey guys don't fight about it, heck everyone has the right to like or dislike what songs and artists they choose.I happen to love AC/DC but yet I have friends who hate them andcall them GayC/BC. Why I don't know? But yet we don't go to war over it. Life is to short to fight overstupid things like this. I know of a few old timers who thought that Fred Bear was a phony, just like some feel the same about Chuck Adams today. This song like it or not does pay tribute to Fred Bear, andwhetheryou like Fred Bear or not he did a lot for our sport of archery. If I wasFred Bear I would be honored to have a song written in my behalf, even if the song was cheesieit would be a honor.Ok I'll get off my soap box now.

Anyway moving on I do happen to like the song, not the best song ever by any means but a good songnone the less.

wahoo hunter, may I ask my dear friend how old are you? I know you are still in school, so i may assume then that you are still in your 20's? I am not going to apologize for my use of words, they were not directed at anyone and Im not running for office. I do not ask nor want to be put in a higher moral standard just because I teach. Im sorry if that is what happened. Putting someone or holding someone to a higher standard in this life will only bring you disappointment. I am 33 yrs old, I have 2 children and a wonderful wife, I have a career in which some may see as position of authority or as a bar for moral standard, this is sad, Im am noone's keeper. You are young ,I assume again, and you may really hold your professors to a high moral standard yourself, but trust me son when I tell you, they and people like them live in a fantasy land up there Jeffersonian Country. Im not being critical of you, Im just letting you know that the world doesn't see the same picture that your professors have painted for you. Oh yeh, as far as them being the moral fiber, God help us if they are! Look at my quote, Im not bashing Jefferson, I like him, he is ok I guess, but his moral standards were pretty low as well.
