What company has the best archery website?
Ok, so I dabble in web design a bit, and I find myself always critiquing the sites that I visit. I've been going to a few of the major bow company websites lately to browse around and I was wondering what you guys thought. In terms of usability, appearance, functionality, and overall quality, who do you think has the nicest website out there?
Here is a list of the websites in the poll: Bowtech: http://www.bowtecharchery.com Hoyt: http://www.hoyt.com Matthews: http://www.matthewsinc.com Bear: http://www.beararcheryproducts.com Elite: http://www.elitearchery.com |

I am partial to Hoyt but I honestly I have no idea how anyone votes for Bowtech. I know they make nice bows. And I have even considered purchasing one. But as for a website it is terrible.

Added Ross to the list. Nice intro video, but to me, the link graphics are a bit too much.

Bowtech is easiest to navigate and get the information that you want. Not just on the bow specs but manuals and such as well. Everything is available on line and is easy to get.It is a little of the plain side of looks though.
Eliteis the best looking site IMObut sucks for navigation. You shouldn't have to open multiple windows to navigate a single site. Hoyt and Mathews have way too much of their own advertisement on their home page. I do like the way that Hoyts bow specs pop up when you hover over a bow though, Makes comparing bows easy. I couldn't care less about what Dave Watson has to say about Mathews or anything else. IMO Bear has the best blend of easy navigation and a good looking site. Though not quite as easy to navigate as Bowtech everything is there and takes little effort to find what you need. Ross is the worst of the bunch IMO. They don't allow access to manuals warranty information and things like that. |
