Does this Doe look injured and pregnant?
It looks to me like her right shoulder is cut open.We have been noticing alot of coyotes in the area now and was wondering if they were trying to get her.You may have to zoom image to see it.Also does she look pregnant.

100% pregger, I cant tell from the pic but if they are bloated both sides will swell up, a pregger wiil generally have one side swoll up more than the other.
As far as the hair looking dull and coarse I think that is a sign of worms. Alot of them get that this time of year.

She situation appears to be such:
A young doe, bred late last season.
She is in the process of growing her summer coat, so she looks even smaller.
If hunters didnt shoot any deer that had visable ribs in teh early season, the monthly harvest for that State would be like, 4.
Man, I noticed a "chuck" missing in the SAME area onmultiple deer while hunting a farm I have permission to access.
I suspected a few causes and one was confirmed when I did some scouting and noticed that a deer trail went RIGHT up to a barb fence....well, the trail didnt go to the left, right or seem to go over..the deer would belly crawl under it...and tehr was hair on the ground and on the barb.
After that, I was satisfied that I had closed the case on these buzz cut bucks !!
