Did anyone try to take good harvest pics this year??

I am refering to I believe Matt/Pa's how to take good photos of your harvest.

I was just scrolling through some pics and thought I would share. This particular photo op came about in early Muzz season. The guy in the pic is hardheaded old school, so when I told him to get the deer out of the back of the truck and take a good picture of it, he thought I was crazy.
I didnt get to spend a lot of time with trying to get it right, but its the best I could with my buddy who just didnt care!
He has told me since the picture that he is glad I told him to get pics out of the truck and think he is going to use one next to his mount! I think it looks much better on the ground!!

Stevie McBee, such a pity, you've lost the chance to show us what spectacular deer you have shot.

I usually take my time and try and get some quality photos. A couple people I hunt with usually don't take any at all! I always love to go back and look at these pics...then I can relive the hunt all over[8D]

heres a couple from this year. I alway use a 35 mm camera along with the digital. Not all are top notch in quality, but still viewable!

I've improved over the years too. Both in the way I take them and the camera that I take them with.

I have a pic of my first buck but I don't think I ever took one of my first deer.

My first buck and the only pic I have of it.

Matt, next year I predict that the "sitting indian style" pose will sweep through HNI like the proverbial wildfire, blown by Santa Anna winds! :)

Yeah there is a little bit of a difference there isn't there. LOL

I'm proud of that first one though too. I took him from the ground at 20 feet with my old Bear Polar 2 compound.

By then though we'll be setting new trends, such as "The Sidesaddle", or the seldom seenbecasue it's so hard to pull off tastefully.........."Semi-Reverse Spoon"

I have always tried to clean up the face of the animal, but I leave the entrance/exit wounds alone. I always want to know where someone shot their animal so I show it. However, if the guts were hanging out or it was anything more than a red hole I would do something. I am not trying to gross anyone out with the picture, just trying to paint a picture. I have always found it weird when it looks like the guy is petting the thing and it could get up and walk off whenever it wanted to. I know many think that is ideal, but it is just what I like.

This is my best field pic since I've been hunting. I just don't know how to make it bigger and still have it the right size to embed picture in post.[&o]
