I am looking at getting into Recurves however I have no idea where to start.

I want to start shooting recurve strictly for target shooting. I think it would be fun to attend some tournaments. Does anyone know where to get started? I am talking about everything here the whole works from bow to places to shoot. All help will be much appreciated.

Start off with a low poundage bow. Some where in that 40lb range. You don't want to go to heavy being your form will suffer heavily from it. Get the basics down and build up your muscles and then you can always move up in poundage down the road after you get it down.

If you shop around you can find a good bow for adecent price.I've even found some at yard sales. It all depends how much you want to put into it.Lots of stuff on the web that would be helpful also. With a little research you'll be on your way.A trip to local archery shop wouldn't hurt either.Good luck

What type of target archery are looking to do. It could have a lot to do with the type of bow you get.
