I have not hunted that many animals, but i would say its really a toss up between spring gobblers and deer. I would be happy with both of them!

Oh man... I live in great elk country and as much as I love to hunt them and eat them... I'd still have topick Whitetails..

Sorry guys but maybe if I'd only hunted whitetails, then I would say whitetails, but having hunted whitey's, mulies and elk, elk are hands down more exciting and challenging to hunt and think about 3-4 times the meat and better quality meat to boot.. not to mention the wall hanger you can put up on your wall (I'm still waiting for that one)... you'll definately kill more deer than elk due to the habitual nature and small range of whitetails, but there aint much in this world more exciting than bugling in a big bull even if you get bull fever and miss the damn thing (like I have)..
