My defining poundage is whatever I think I can pull sitting down during the cold, late season. Today that is running anywhere between 60-65lbs. Murphy lives in the woods...you can stand for hours, but if you want to see a deer....just sit down for a sec......

55-60 pounds for me, I'll shoot 55 pounds throughout the spring and summer and the lastmonth or so before deer season I move up to 60 pounds.

I'vehunted withcompoundsthat had theirpeak weightsseton 90#, 80#, & 70#, butI shoot 60# anymore. Easier on everything and my 82 is generating over 70# KE so more weight is not necessary.
