My defining poundage is whatever I think I can pull sitting down during the cold, late season. Today that is running anywhere between 60-65lbs. Murphy lives in the woods...you can stand for hours, but if you want to see a deer....just sit down for a sec......:D

55-60 pounds for me, I'll shoot 55 pounds throughout the spring and summer and the lastmonth or so before deer season I move up to 60 pounds.

I shoot 70# for everything.It is not that I need 70#the bow just preforms better maxed out.

I'vehunted withcompoundsthat had theirpeak weightsseton 90#, 80#, & 70#, butI shoot 60# anymore. Easier on everything and my 82 is generating over 70# KE so more weight is not necessary.

65 lb compound 53 recurve 55 long bow better not say anything more they will lock this thread like they locked the scent control freaks
