One year away from receiving my Juris Doctorate (law degree). I will leave law school with zero debt which is amazing. Hopefully I will get a plush first job. The firm I have been interning at has shown interest in hiring me, start out around $120,000... Not bad for 25 years old:) .

Huge paycheck, no debt from school, and in your mid-20s. Man, you suck.;) What a great situation to be in. Good for you.

I have worked my butt off to get everything I have, and I may not have a mansion or drive the fanciest car, but what I've got is good enough for me. Some of what is up there is deceptive too. If you live near a bigger city your salary will be hire, but so is the cost of living. I know if I lived in a smaller town in PA but made what I do living outside of Philly I could live like a king. As it is I'm just a small fish in a big pond, but I'm perfectly fine with that.

It is all relative. I have beenpast the top range in the surveyfor a long time, but I can't buy what I did when I was making a lot less, single, no kids, no mortgage,....I think you are getting the drift.

The stimulus phase out for married filing jointly is $150K, so this poll really isn't relevant in that regard since many of us are married and file joint returns.....

It's relevant if your wife makes more than you do;)

I used to make more but then I opened an archery business:D
In 06 our combined income was about 115,000.00, my share of that was 82,000.00
In 07, after deducting the business loss/expenses our combinedincome was 13,500.00[:o]and my wife made 35,000.00 or so.
So I/we went from the top of the scale to the bottom in one year! How's that for a ride?

If you don't mind me asking, what did you do before the shop? That's one heck of a salary to turn down for owning your own business:D
