small target...
i was talking to a buddy today the had the same job at the same place im going to work this summer...
he said that if i live in one area i cant shoot my bow...but if i live in the other areas, that he definently recommends me taking my bow and a target for something to do after work and when i dont have anything better i could be doing... its about a 10hr drive...dont know 100% i can take my bow..and dont know 100% i can fit my bow in my vehicle..depends on what all i have to take up with me... but, in the event that i CAN take my bow, im going to sure as heck try...anyone have recomendations for a small portable target that will last the summer with field points?? my bag is simply too large and heavy..going to take up too much room and be too much of a hassle..any recommendations?? could even possibly find a bow shop or store in the area to buy a target up there...but would still like a smaller target cause i'll likely bring it home... |
RE: small target...
Why don't you get a small 3D target like a racoon or a ground hog or even a bob cat .

RE: small target...
They are a tad expensive but a rinehart 18:1 target is smalland would last decades if you just used fieldpoints on it. I believe they also have a smaller one now also, yes they do, and it is about a 1/3 the price of the 18:1:
RFT 10970 9" Diameter The 9” Rinehart Field Target (RFT) is the ultimate go-anywhere practice partner. It weighs only a few pounds, is compact enough to fit in your suitcase – yet offers up plenty of different sized, vividly marked target zones to aim at from any angle. Take the RFT to your treestand for last minute practice, use it as a yardage marker, or simply toss it into the field for a instant shootout with friends. The versatile RFT is balanced with sand, so it always lands upright and ready for action. Grab the RFT’s convenient carrying handle and have a ball! http://www.rinehart3-d.com/products/#i44 |

thanx guys!! exactly why i posted here! great ideas i overlooked....
always wanted a small 3d or the 18:1.... leaving memorial day weekend...i'll find out before then if i can bring my gear or not...would be real nice to beable to....id like to keep in tune all summer.... though, i highly doubt i'll get much time, if any at all, to bowhunt this fall....im gunna be suppppper busy with 6 classes and most likely EMT training....but, without the harsh schedule and EMT training i wont beable to go where i wanna go and do what i wanna do so i guess a year of hunting will be payment for it.... |
