I would disconnect it then drop the darn thing out of the stand.[8D]

That is why I quit using handhelds for hunting,the fear of dropping the release was always in the back of my mind.

The unit stays together as one piece like all other releases on the market until the hunter and only the hunter decides to disconnect it!

Seriously though sounds like a good idea till you bust your lip or lose it or drop it out of your stand. But hey some people will buy anything......
