Is there a huge upcost between the 2? I sell the Marquis package for $829, I bought my 101 Airborne (bow only) for $700, plus Hostage rest $35, G5 Le 3 pin $120, sims s-coil $20=$875? vs$829....mabey I got a deal, I did get it from a friends shop.

For an example of Diamond bows quality since Bowtech bought them and now manufactures them using the brand name: Diamond......the 2008Diamond Liberty is very similar to the 2004 Bowtech Liberty!

Its classic marketing. Lots of companies do it. Anytime you have a product that still sells but want to push another product (usually higher price, but not always), you have to compartmentlize your products. And not to take the focus off your new line.
Can you believe the liberty is still selling? I have one and its a great bow but wouldnever thought it would have lasted this long.
Sako and Tikka are fine examples. Both are great products, but why sell under one banner. Tikka for one market share, and sako for the guys with deeper pockets.
Hoyt and reflex, PSE and AR, list goes on.

Just a side note. Bowtech does own Diamond. I recently bought a Bass Pro "Kryptik" which is built by Diamond/Bowtech. Very fast and very smooth. It is a fine bow. Very fast and very smooth.
