ORIGINAL: peakrut This photo is of Roy Case with his deer kill of December 6th, 1930 in Vilas County, Wi. This photo depicts the first bow-killed deer in the State of Wisconsin as a sport. Roy coined the phrase “bowhunter.” Thanks to his efforts, along with others, a separate bowhunting season was established in 1934 and Wisconsin became the first state in the country to hold an archery-only deer hunt. All you have us cheeseheads to thank!;)

Peak, I think the hunter that "got caught" in IL in the 90's was Noel Feather. I've never heard anything about the Wensels breaking the law.

Jim Shockey: Moose in the Alaskan Yukon. Cameron Hanes: Elk & Mule Deer in the backcountry of Wyoming. Tiffany Lakosky: Anywhere for anything. Just as long as we can hunt from the same ground blind.;)Tif "the dish" is smokin hot. |
