Scent Loc

Do you guys think that scent loc could be used in hiding things from a police dog? Say the scent loc bags, could someone hide narcodics or bombs in one and fool a police dog? I have always wondered this..

Also by the way I am in no way trying find out for "certain reasons" I am just curious....

I doubt it---the dogs they use have incredible noses and usually are right by the target they are sniffing....very tough to hide.

That poses another question, DO you think deer can smell as good as dogs?

These test have already been done. Scentlok allows enought human odor to escape that in 25 test the dogs have located all 25 subjects ( Dr. Jorn Shivik and Fox Investgative report ) These are air scenting dogs and not tracking dogs that are following tracks. Therefore the claims thet carbon clothing gets "100% of human odors-100% of the time " (Buckmasters Ad) in my opiniion is not true. What would be left for the dogs to smell ?
In the research I have found thatthe deers ability to smell is greater than that of a dog.
So it woud stand to reason if enough human odors escape and these other odors would also escape in a sufficent amount that the dog would not be fooled. Hope that helps a little. There is presently test being set up to conduct some very extensive studies in this area to help support the class action lawsuits that have been filed against Scentlok in Minn and Ill.

DOGS CAN SMELL THROUGH WALLS....I DON'T THINK SCENT CONTROL IS POSSIBLE WITH DOGS...YOU SHOULD TRY SNEAK DRUGS PAST AN K/9 UNIT AND REPORT BACK TO HNI:D...I'M SURE QUIK WILL HELP YOU OUT OF JAIL;)

From what I've read (Lee Rue) it is thought that dogs can probably smell better than deer due to the fact the dogs are a predators and use their noses to not only find locate food smell but to track it, deer use their sense of smell only as a location tool and then other genetic responses (whitetail flashing) take over
