Who really cares either way. The man who started the thread (Vabowman) stated is opinion and everyone stated there's. Each to there own belief weather one likes it or not. I think there's more important stuff to talk about then a Giraffe hunt in Africa. Geeze people let it be and die already!

Throw out all the anti hunter messages and fears, and I actually found this thread interesting. I do find it funny that those that don't still see a need to chime in with a post, which means they keep opening it, LOL.

Thanks VA for that last answer, that is all I wanted to know...and here is why:

When our outfitter first threw out the chance at a giraffe with a bow, I had similar thoughts...."a giraffe? who shoots those?" Did some research, and the more I learned, the more I became interested. One thing I found interesting is the fact that giraffe is highly sought after by Europeans, but realatively few Americans (as this thread indicates). That alone kinda peaked my interest even more. It doesn't bother me in the least that someone doesn't want to shoot one...kinda the false pretense that a giraffe is a tame zoo animal that you can just walk up and smack kinda does, but whatcha gonna do? People believe what they believe...eh?

Ok, I guess we can let it die now, it was good to talk about it for me, I understand now that it is a game animal, and though i don't want to ever shoot one, and i do think it's weird, I realize my ignorance, and I did from the beginning. I enjoyed the the talk about Africa and it's place in the global economy. There are far more problems in Africa that what was mentioned here and a few of you got my interest up with some of your responses about the plight of Africa, i would love to hear from you via PM about this topic. Thanks for avery informative thread. Now back to twidling my thumbs....

Van bowmen you allways have funny threads and always get everyone going they are entertaining and funny are you this funny in person if so you would be great in a hunting camp.If so like to share one with you then you could teach me to spell at night.I got a great thread idea do you poop in your ground blind.Well if you ever get up this way we could take you out to catch a 600 lb blue fin.Just got finshed cutting out a new stand this morning 6 big scrapes three big rubsbigdropings all overpretty close to one of my old stands 200 yrd crawl to get to it

thanks guys, I would love to join any of you on a hunt. I never mind the heat I take on here, I have been taking since the first post, and will continue you to take it. There are some really fine people on here and let's be honest, how mad can you really get at someone you have never met?? Most people on here are very passionate about hunting and some maybe a little overboard but that is fine, Im one of them. Sometimes I look at my post and say "wtf" :D
