Take this advice with you to the bow shop, but the best way to find the right bow for you, is to shoot as many as you can, go to a Diamond dealer and shoot, Find a PSE dealer and shoot, keep your mind open and dont get sold on one bow, find the one that feels the best for you, You should try to shoot a Fred Bear Instinct, my buddy has one, it's fast, quiet, and IMO best bang for the buck. I own a Bowtech, never shot a Diamond, but i've heard nothing but good things about them.

Thanks to all for the advice and information. I hear nothing but good things about BowTech and Diamond. I've shot my brothers BowTEch a couple times and the word that instantly comes to mind is "smooth." Again, being a newbie I dont know a lot about what I need to be looking for (dont worry Im doin my research) but having drawing a smooth bow is definitely a plus.

Just like the otherfolks say, try all of them out in your price range. I tried several out in my price range, plus knowing I'll be upgrading to the PSE X-force in a year. For now, I bought the PSE BRUTE and I love it. I chose the heavier of the ones I tried. Buy what feels right for you.

I have shot every new Diamond on the market today and some older ones as well.

You can't go wrong with a Diamond for quality, but, as mentioned, shoot different bows, find the one that shoots the best for you and go with it.

If you decide on a Diamond I got a couple here LOL give me a call.
